Some of you Gambling911.com readers will opt not to gamble this Friday The 13th (August 13, 2010). It’s understandable. Friday The 13th is supposed to bring bad luck. Do not walk under ladders. Do not cross before a black cat.
But there is nothing that says gambling on Friday The 13th will lead to losing.
Think about it.
When gamblers lose, the bookies and online poker sites win.
Why should they have good luck on Friday The 13th and you, the gambler, will not?
Also, many believe that gambling is a sin. Because Friday The 13th is widely considered associated with the Devil, it would seem that folks would enjoy a windfall on this day since they are essentially selling their soul to the Devil.
The Bible does not specifically condemn gambling, betting, or the lottery. The Bible does warn us, however, to stay away from the love of money.
Gambling most definitely is focused on the love of money and undeniably tempts people with the promise of quick and easy riches.
