Eye on Gaming (EOG.com) general manager John Kelly owes a California man $16,840 in gambling debts for baseball bets gone bad, Gambling911.com can reveal in an exclusive report!

Kelly, also a sports handicapper and radio host, and based in Las Vegas, came under fire last week when a Los Angeles radio host, Roger Stein, said on air that Kelly was a deadbeat who didn't pay his debts.

"Don't ever loan John Kelly money," Stein, a former horse trainer, said during the Sunday, May 6, 2012, broadcast of "The Roger Stein Show," a horse racing program on KLAA radio. "He don't pay the bills too good."

After Gambling911.com broke the story of what Stein said, Kelly was excoriated all over the Internet, including in the popular posting forum at Kelly's own EOG.com, where Kelly responded to Stein's charges by denying them.

"I plead not guilty," Kelly posted.

In an exclusive interview this week with Gambling911.com, Stein explained that his radio co-host and friend, a professional gambler from California who uses the on-air moniker "Bettor Bob," placed bets for Kelly even though Kelly lived in Las Vegas and could easily place wagers in any casino's sportsbook.

"Kelly didn't have money to put up for his bets in Las Vegas, so he asked 'Bettor Bob' if he could get some bets in for him, on credit, with his bookie," Stein said. "Kelly and 'Bettor Bob' were friends so he said okay, he'd put bets in for him. This was several years ago. Kelly lost big, many thousands of dollars. He paid off some of what he owed, but then he just stopped paying. He owes 'Bettor Bob' more than $10,000."

When Gambling911.com asked Stein to be put in touch with "Bettor Bob" for more details, Stein arranged a three-way telephone conversation among himself, "Bettor Bob" and Gambling911.com, on the condition that the real name of "Bettor Bob" not be revealed.

"Kelly still owes me $16,840," said "Bettor Bob" matter-of-factly, as if it would have been odd if he didn't know exactly how much he's owed, despite it being all those years ago.

"It was for baseball bets, about six or seven years ago," he recalled. "At one point Kelly owed me about $25,000. He paid about $9,000 back. I haven't seen any of the rest of it and don't expect to."

"I wouldn't piss on John Kelly if he were on fire," Stein told Gambling911.com. "He begged 'Bettor Bob' to put in big bets for him and then when he lost, he stiffed him. I can't believe scumbags like John Kelly are allowed to walk the earth.

"Kelly is lucky these aren't the good ol' days of Las Vegas any more," Stein said. "He'd have two broken legs. Or worse."
