The Kansas City Chiefs will pay out $1600 for every $100 bet should they win the 2018 Super Bowl with odds of 16/1.
Kansas City features two of the best players in the NFL with quarterback Alex Smith recording a career-high 26 touchdowns and rookie Kareem Hunt leading the league in rushing with 1,327 yards (4.9 yards per carry) and eight touchdowns while also hauling in 53 passes for 455 yards and three more scores.
Heading into their Playoff game against the Titans, Kansas City was coming in as an -8.5 to -9 point home favorite. Over the past five years, teams favored between 7 and 9 points have won those games nearly 75% of the time.
Odds are good that the Chiefs will ultimately have to face the likes of the Pittsburgh Steelers or New England Patriots.
Since 2011, Kansas City has enjoyed a decent record against the Pats, winning half of the four meetings played, one of those at Gillette Stadium.
Against the Steelers, the Chiefs have plenty more playing experience having faced off against Pittsburgh on seven occasions in the last seven years. Unfortunately, they lost in all but one of those games and that lone win was at home. Should the Chiefs get stuck having to face the Steelers, that game will be played in Pittsburgh.
