After an embarrassing loss in the 2010 FIFA World Cup that sent England packing early, striker Wayne Rooney jetted right off to Barbados.

The Daily Mail reported that Rooney had booked the £5,923 each, first class tickets to the island for himself and his family two days before England were knocked out after their 4-1 loss against Germany.

Rooney was among the long shots to be photographed first at the beach following the loss (8/1 odds) but, not only was he one of the first, Rooney eventually made his way to Las Vegas where Gambling911.com hopes he doesn’t bet on himself after that poor World Cup performance.

Photographs of Rooney suggest he hasn’t been out in the sun much though his wife Coleen appeared nice and bronze.
