Bookmaker was offering a number of options for Super Bowl 2013 total betting options including Baltimore OVER/UNDER total points and San Francisco OVER/UNDER total points. Bookmaker was offering qualified new customers up to $2500 in FREE CASH and LIVE BETTING right up to the final play of the 2013 Super Bowl.
The total on the 49ers-Ravens Super Bowl opened at OVER/UNDER 50 and was quickly bet down to 47. As of Saturday night Super Bowl eve, nearly all the online sportsbooks had the total posted at 47.5.
As is typical with total betting, the general public tends to bet the OVER.
Super Bowl 2013 is no exception.
"Our worst case scenario is going to be a Niners win and the over, so we will probably be rooting for any scenario except for that," Jay Rood, vice president of the race and sports book at MGM Resorts, told Reuters in a telephone interview.
"A Niners win by a field goal, and for the game to stay under, would probably be the dream for all the bookmakers."
