Saints Defense vs. Packers Defense – New Orleans looked questionable towards the end of the season, especially with that Seahawks loss that must have been weighing on players minds the past several months.  That said, New Orleans completely revamped its defense during the off season, signing the likes of Aubrayo Franklin, Cameron Jordan and Shaun Rogers.

Green Bay continued to improve and show no signs of letting up this season with Don Capers at the helm as coordinator.  The Saints defensive squad may need a little more time to gel with all the new additions and a Week 1 matchup against Green Bay on the road sort of gets in the way of that process.

On the road last year, the Saints went 3-6 ATS – Green Bay has the edge.

The Packers secondary is questionable, especially with the loss of Cullen Jenkins, therefore New Orleans should have the edge here.

Aaron Rodgers is fast becoming one of the NFL’s elite quarterbacks, coming into his own last season, mainly during the Playoffs, sealing the deal with a Super Bowl championship.

Rodgers passed for 3922 yards, threw 28 touchdowns, though he did have 11 interceptions during the regular season.

In the post season, Rodgers passed for 1094 yards, had nine touchdowns and two interceptions.

Drew Brees threw for 4,600 yards last season, which is his second-best total of his long career.  He did have double the number of interceptions than the past year at 22.

Darren Sproles fills in the void left by Reggie Bush in New Orleans, having rushed for 267 yards on 50 carries, and he had 59 receptions for 520 yards while in San Diego.

Gambling911.com’s pick for the Saints-Packers game will be Green Bay -4.

While Gambling911.com has been bullish on the Browns over the past two weeks, action was balanced on this one with the line only moving up a half point over the course of the week, making this game less attractive in terms of a glaring "must bet" situation.
