After opening the season at 9/1 odds of winning the 2011 Super Bowl, the Ravens price has been slashed only slightly down to just shy of 6/1 at Bookmaker.com for a payout potential of nearly $600 on every $100 bet.

The Ravens late afternoon game against Pittsburgh was being viewed as the most competitive of the Divisional Playoffs with many pundits and oddsmakers believing the win would be by a field goal.  Nobody seemed sure which team might walk off victorious.  Gambling911.com could not predict the outcome of this game.

One primary worry for the Ravens perhaps:  Ben Roethlisberger has beaten Baltimore in all six of the last games in which he started.

Another worry perhaps: The Ravens biggest offensive threat, running back Ray Rice, hasn't scored in six games against the Steelers.

An interesting factoid from ESPN.com:

Everyone knows that defense wins championships in the NFL. But since 2004, the BEST defense in the league in terms of opponent PPG has won just 1 Super Bowl. The 2008 Steelers were also the only league-leading defense to even make it to the Super Bowl over the last 6 seasons.

Odds to Win The 2011 Super Bowl

New England Patriots +120 pays $120 for every $100 bet

New York Jets would pay $1000 for every $100 bet

Pittsburgh Steelers would pay out $525 for every $100 bet

Chicago Bears would pay out $520 for every $100 bet

Green Bay Packers would pay $465 for every $100 bet

Atlanta Falcons would pay $440 for every $100 bet

Seattle Seahawks would pay $3000 for every $100 bet
