Latest Odds to Win the 2017 NFC Championship – Packers vs. Falcons

Sportsbooks were mostly in agreement that Atlanta will advance to Super Bowl LI with odds of -6 versus the Packers to win the 2017 NFC Championship game.  A few books were still holding out at -5.5.

Recent Historic Head to Head Trends

These teams have played one another six times dating back to 2010 with Green Bay winning in four of those games and the Falcons splitting two-for-two at home.

In 2011, the Packers were viewed as a much better team than the Falcons, winning 25-14 as a -6 point road favorite.

In 2014, the Packers were viewed as a more superior team hosting the Falcons as a -13.5 favorite but failing to cover with a six point victory.

In the two games for which Atlanta was listed as a favorite, including back in October of this season, the Falcons did manage to win outright.  Both of those games were at home.

It is interesting to note, however, that the road team is 5-0 Against The Spread in their last 5 meetings and the underdog is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 meetings.

Both Teams Red Hot

Green Bay enters this 2017 NFL Championship game having won eight straight and covering the spread in all but one of those.

Atlanta has won five straight and eight of their last ten games overall.  They have covered the spread in four of their last five games played.
