This line opened early with New York as the -1 point favorite but, following a surprise loss by San Francisco in Minnesota last week, the betting public believes the 49ers are going to bounce back strong in Week 4.

Here is an interesting stat for sports bettors that supports the current betting pattern.  Following their three regular season losses last year, San Francisco covered the spread each time with 17 and 26 point victories after their last two losses.

The 49ers are 16-5-1 Against The Spread in their last 22 games overall.

The 49ers are 6-2 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

A very critical stat:  The 49ers are 10-2 Straight Up and 9-3 ATS as a favorite of between 3.5 and 9.5 points over the past three seasons.  The Jets are 1-5 ATS as an underdog in this same range.

Against the NFC West, New York is 8-16 ATS since 1993.

The Jets are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games after allowing more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game.

The Jets are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
