The line on the Oklahoma State vs. Kansas State game for Saturday opened at Wildcats -5 and shifted to -5.5.

Sagarin has Kansas State ranked at No. 23 (81.5) and Oklahoma State ranked at No. 15 (83.29).  With home field advantage at 3.87 we get a line of Wildcats 2.08, which suggests a pretty significant overlay.

The Cowboys come into this game owning a 3-1 record, their only loss to Utah in a hard fought battle last week.  The Utes walked away with a 22-19 victory.

Oklahoma State's Alan Bowman, benched after an ineffective first half, returned midway through the fourth quarter and passed for two touchdowns and two 2-point conversions to help Oklahoma State (3-1, 0-1) trim Utah's lead to three points.

“Made that more dramatic than we needed to, but we handled it well and got the win,” Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said. “Proud of our guys. Didn't always play as smart as we needed to. Had a chance to put the game away completely, let them back in it.”

Kansas State (3-1), meanwhile, was upset by underdog BYU 38-9.

Avery Johnson piled up 204 yards of total offense for the Wildcats but also threw a pair of interceptions. DJ Giddens rushed for 93 yards on 19 carries as Kansas State (3-1, 0-1) dropped to 0-4 all-time in Provo despite totaling 224 rushing yards. The Wildcats did not score a touchdown in a game for the first time since 2020.

“We just shot ourselves in the foot too many times and we got to score touchdowns,” Johnson said. “You got to take care of the football on the road if you want to win games.”
