Should I Bet on the Chicago Cubs Right Now?

The Chicago Cubs are winning around 40% of their games and sat a few games below the .500 mark. We would be a little hesitant to place that MLB bet.

(June 15, 2024) - These teams have similar records but St. Louis had dominated the Cubs in recent games, winning the previous four. Prior to this period, the Cubs were the dominant club in this series.

On Saturday, Chicago places their ace Shota Imanaga (6-1, 1.96 ERA) onto the mound.

Imanaga got back into the win column Sunday after allowing two runs in 6 2/3 innings versus the Reds. He'll be pitching at home where the Cubs are far more reliable.

Cards pitcher for Saturday, Andre Pallante, has faced this Cubs roster 48 times.

Christopher Morel and Ian Happ have had the most success against him but are playing subpar this season.

Pallante worked five shutout innings Sunday in the Cardinals’ 5-1 victory over the Rockies.

That near -180 price tag on the Cubs is a hard pill to swallow. Not to mention, St. Louis is winning 60% of its games, not to mention they are 19-10 since May 12.
