Survey Shows America Does Not Want the Astros as World Champs

It’s clear that America hasn’t forgiven the Astros for their cheating transgressions two years ago.

BetOnline.ag conducted a Twitter survey that compiled geo-tracked tweets immediately after the World Series matchup was set. The study analyzed more than 230,000 tweets of official fan hashtags in every state: #BattleATL and #ForTheH.

As you can see from the infomap displaying the results below, 48 of the 50 states are rooting for the Braves to take down the Astros.

The two states rooting on the Astros…Texas and Louisiana.

Houston is a -135 favorite to take the Series, according to the latest odds, while the Braves are +115 underdogs.

Fans may not want the Astros to win, but bettors in America are backing the Houston ballclub. The site reports that 62.7% of the World Series action is on the Astros.
