The former betting supervisor also claims in her lawsuit that the company failed to report two incidents of underage gambling.

Per the suit, Luppino was “unlawfully terminated on the basis of her complaints about the incidents giving rise to the hostile work environment after objecting to certain unlawful activities.”

“She hopes to gain her lost wages,” Bruce Atkins, her attorney, said.

The player who attempted to cash the $82,000 winning ticket placed the bet at 750-1 odds in the final minutes of a Denver Broncos-Oakland Raiders game. The company said that its automated system mistakenly generated long odds and should have calulated the odds of winning at 1-6.

Luppino's supervisors allegedly ordered tellers not to pay the ticket.  "Stay out of it and not talk to anyone", one of the supervisors reportedly stated.

She was fired two days later, according to the suit.  Soon thereafter, FanDuel was forced to pay the individual after the story went public.

“The fact that defendants would terminate Luppino, the only female supervisor at the sportsbook, without any prior warnings contrary to their treatment of other male supervisors is demonstrative of the gender discrimination that persists in defendants’ workplace,” the suit states.
