Libertarian 2012 Presidential hopeful Wayne Allyn Root will be appearing on Lou Dobbs radio Monday February 16, 2008 at 3:35 pm EST/12:35 pm PST to discuss the current economic crisis, financial stimulus package and the remarks President Obama made towards Las Vegas the other day, seemingly condemning the city as a place "not to take corporate junkets".

"Obama disparages and insults Las Vegas now, but he was singing a different tune when he visited Vegas 20 times during the Presidential campaign," said Root, who is a native of Las Vegas.  "I guess that's the ‘change' he said we could count on."

Root ran against Obama as part of the 2008 Libertarian ticket with Bob Barr.

Obama was criticized by Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman on Wednesday for saying that "You can't take a trip to Las Vegas or down to the Super Bowl on the taxpayer's dime."

Obama's reference was seemingly directed at Wells Fargo, which, under intense scrutiny, backed out of a 12-day junket.  That bank has received $25 billion in bailout funds.

Root also references Jesus Christ in regard to the stimulus package about to be approved.

"If you spent $1,000,000 per day since the day that Jesus Chris was born until today, you still wouldn't be at $1 trillion. That's how expensive this stimulus plan is. We will bankrupt America on pork, waste, handouts and bailouts to Obama's friends and voters. Forget 'Global warming,' Root says. "This is the real proven threat to our children and grandchildren's future- debt."

President Barack Obama says the plan will save or create more than 3.5 million jobs. But investors have been burned before: last year's stimulus refund to taxpayers and a $700 billion financial bailout have not been able to reverse the economy's slide.
