Texas Congressman Ron Paul has announced the end to his Presidential campaign late Thursday. He had remained on the Republican ticket despite John McCain becoming the GOP nomination.
His objective now will be to get Libertarian leaning politicians elected into office.
"The campaign is going to shift gears. It's going to accelerate. It's going to get much bigger," Paul told The Associated Press in an interview before a rally where he was making the announcement. "To me, it's a technical change."
