Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, whose odds of becoming the U.S. Presidential GOP nominee for 2016 remained at 3-1, blasted the Washington Post for briefly posting an editorial cartoon on its website depicting his young daughters as monkeys and criticizing him for featuring them in the political area.

Adelson Meets With Trump: Admits to Buying Las Vegas Review Journal

MACAU (Reuters) - Top Republican Party donor Sheldon Adelson said on Friday he met presidential candidate Donald Trump earlier this week and that the two American billionaires broached the issue at the heart of Adelson's political agenda: support for Israel.

While the mega donor didn't disclose his degree of backing for the front-runner in the race for the Republican nomination, he did say he found Trump to be "very charming" and called his standing in the crowded candidate field "unheard of."

Trump Drops 12 Percent in Polls, Nearly Two Points in Odds

The first real bad news for Republican candidate Donald Trump arrived Friday evening and it was a powerful blow to be sure. 

A Reuters/Ipsos poll showed the real estate mogul had dropped 12 points in under a week.  It is the biggest decline Trump has witnessed since rising to the top back in July.

Meanwhile, his odds had gone from 2/1 to +350, actually falling a half point behind fellow GOP candidate Senator Ted Cruz at Sportsbook.
