What the Bookies Are Saying: UGA vs. Auburn

Resident bookmaking expert Tony Caliente discusses Saturday game between Georgia and Auburn.

This should be the most wagered on game Saturday even though there are a few other good one’s with Bowl implications.

With Auburn at -1, 60% of the action was on the Tigers.

There has been little effort to get the betting public backing the Bulldogs.  In fact, even at -2.5 Auburn, 65% of the bets coming in were on the Tigers.

It’s easy to see Auburn covering here.

This one will be played in Atlanta, a quick hour to an hour-and-a-half away from Auburn Territory whereas a lot of the Bulldogs diehards live even further.

Assuming no home field advantage, the line on this game should be Auburn -2.

This is one of the most dangerous games we have seen during the 2017 College Football season (or even NFL for that matter).  An Auburn win by 1 or 2 points could prove crippling to the books.

For us, forget the NFL Power Ratings.  UGA will likely win here.  They lost badly to Auburn a few weeks back.

The Bulldogs won the previous three, five of the past seven and seven of the last ten.
