Line on Nebraska Penn State

While a few of the online sportsbooks and those in Vegas were pulling the line on the Nebraska Penn State game, a few stalwarts continued to offer a -3.5 spread in favor of visiting Nebraska, including our friends at BetOnline.com (you can still bet this game here).

The situation in Penn State has gone from bad to worse.

Following the termination of head coach Joe Paterno Wednesday, students took to the streets in protest.  Both Paterno and university President Graham Spanier were fired over their handling of sex abuse allegations against a former assistant football coach.

The students gathered about two blocks from the campus, with some chanting `We want Joe! We want Joe!" Some shook a lamp post and others tipped over a news van (video below), kicking out its windows.

The turmoil taking place at this school has not affected the line much as oddsmakers offered the -3.5 after news broke of the scandal.  This line has held, however, after Paterno’s termination.
