Strong Q4 for Books

According to Oddschecker Data favourable December margins implied a strong Q4 for bookies.

Gross win margins in December were the highest since January 18, 2019 (5.2%), leaving Q4 well ahead of Q3 (4.2% vs. 3.0%) and the LT average (2.6%).

Oddschecker also notes that the wet weather (wettest since 2012) certainly curbed the prevalcne of winning horseracing FAVs.
