What Should the Spread on the Cincinnati vs. Indiana Game be?

After Week 2, the Bearcats rating is 83.36, the Hoosiers rating is 74.40.  This would give us a spread of Cincinnati 6.5 to -7 (Hoosiers home field advantage factored in).  The line opened at Bearcats -3.5.

The Bearcats fell one spot to No. 8 in the latest AP poll despite their 42-7 win against FCS opponent Murray State on Saturday at Nippert Stadium.

Senior quarterback Desmond Ridder completed 14 of 22 passes for 243 yards and two touchdowns.

The Hoosiers, meanwhile, used a fast start to rout Idaho 56-14 in home opener.

What to Watch for in the Line Movement

How is this for some good oddsmaking: Cincinnati opened as a -35.5 favorite and that number moved up from there.  The win was by 35 points, meaning they failed to cover by a half point using the opening line.  BetOnline held this number at 36.5 all week.  Bovada moved from 36.5 to 37.  There was practically zero line movement on this game anywhere though.  There had to be complete agony for those who had money on the spread regardless of what side they ended up.

The Bearcats won by 35 against Miami-Ohio in Week 1, an easy cover.  The line moved up two points from 21.5 to 23.5 across the board.

Cincinnati is 1-1 Against The Spread.

85% or greater of the action was on Cincinnati in this one.  The line movement makes sense, going from -3 to -4.   Bovada had moved from -3 to -3.5 to -4.  This remained the case the overnight hours Friday, however, sharp books had all come down to -3.5, suggesting an opinion on Indiana here.
