The San Diego Padres acquired Juan Soto from the Washington Nationals with news confirmed by Tuesday evening.  BetOnline already saw the trade as a done deal and has moved the Padres into 5th place for shortest odds to win the 2022 World Series.  The payout would be $850 on a $100 bet.

Josh Bell and Josh Hader are also joining Soto, it appears.

"We updated our MLB title odds following the trade," BetOnline advised Gambling911.com early Tuesday.  "The Padres had +2000 odds (20-1) prior to the trade but are now listed at +850, just behind the Mets."
