The NBA’s play-in format is inspiring for the Golden State Warriors, who enter the week firmly entrenched as the No. 10 seed in the Western Conference after going 7-2 in their last nine games. Looking to creep up the standings, the Warriors play host to Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night. Coming off a two-game sweep of the LA Lakers the Mavs are holding on to the sixth seed and will need to finish there or higher to avoid a play in scenario. And if the first two games of the season series are any indication, there should be plenty of points scored in this one.  Bookmaker.eu offers a generous welcome bonus (max bonus $1600)

Odds Analysis

The Mavs enter the week on a three-game winning streak after beating the Lakers twice and taking down Detroit to complete a five-game homestand. The winning streak started after the Mavs were embarrassed by the Sacramento Kings, a team they face on Monday before heading to the Bay Area. The Mavs covered the spread in both games against LA ending a streak of six consecutive ATS setbacks. The Mavs have won five of the last six meetings with Golden State going 4-2 ATS. The teams cashed the OVER in each of the last two encounters and the OVER is 9-2 in the last 11 get-togethers. The Warriors are playing good ball lately winning two straight and seven of their last nine while going 6-3 ATS. Despite the heroics of Stephen Curry, who set an NBA record for three-pointers in a month, the Warriors cashed the UNDER in four straight games. Overall they are 31-30 SU and 29-32 ATS.

Dallas Mavericks

That 14-point home loss to the Kings last week served as a wakeup call for the Mavs, who rattled off three straight wins following that setback. Granted, they beat the Pistons and the shorthanded Lakers twice, but they were big games keeping Dallas from falling into that dreaded seventh position. The new play-in format allows teams like Golden State to at least have a chance at reaching the postseason while others like the Mavs are at risk of not making the postseason despite finishing among the top-eight. That should be enough motivation to keep winning games, especially against teams you should beat.

Hitting the road may not be a bad thing for the Mavs, who actually have a better record in away games than they do at home. They are 8-3 SU and 7-4 ATS in their last 11 road contests and they’ve won three in a row at Golden State going 3-0 ATS in those games. The Mavs are 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS in their last six meetings with the Dubs averaging over 130 points in those games. The teams split a pair of games in Dallas back in early February combining to average 264.5 points while cashing the OVER both times. The offense could be slowed by the absence of Kristaps Porzingis, who turned his ankle in a game last week and is expected to miss a few contests.

Golden State Warriors

Curry has put the team on his back as he looks to get the Warriors back to the postseason after having their run of Finals appearances end last season. It didn’t help that Curry and Klay Thompson missed the season, now Curry is making up for lost time. Another spectacular performance against the Kings on Sunday delivered a fourth straight home win for the Warriors, who are now 19-10 SU and 17-12 ATS inside Chase Center. Curry scored 37 points and hit seven three-pointers giving him a league record tor triples in a month with 85.

Curry’s run of nine straight games with 30 or more points ended in a loss at Washington but he just started another one by going for 32 against Denver before his performance against Sacto. “Obviously when I’m out there I definitely feel like I’m the best shooter in the world. But it still means I still got to put the work in,” he said. Even with teams focused on stopping Curry he’s still able to hit dagger threes. Curry leads the NBA with 31.3 points per game while knocking down 42.7 percent of his three-point attempts.

Bet Mavericks at Warriors at BookMaker.eu

We can expect Doncic and Curry to put on another show since that’s all they do. And the Warriors will have an advantage since the Mavs played the night before in Sacramento. It’s just a short ride on I-80 to Frisco, but it is taxing for a team that could be without a few key performers. One thing I do like is taking the OVER in this matchup since points are plentiful. And both starts can easily fill it up.

NBA Score Prediction: Warriors 125, Mavericks 119

NBA Betting May 10, 2021 – Utah Jazz at Golden State Warriors

With one week left in the regular season it’s all about playoff positioning for the teams still in the hunt. The Utah Jazz and Golden State Warriors are jockeying for different spots in the Western Conference.

NBA Betting May 7, 2021 – Los Angeles Lakers at Portland Trail Blazers

The Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers will both be playing after the regular season concludes. We just don’t know if they’ll be in the top-six or in the play-in tournament. LA and Portland are two of three teams vying for the final two playoff spots with the club missing out being relegated to the play-in.

NBA Betting May 6, 2021 – Brooklyn Nets at Dallas Mavericks

NBA Betting May 6, 2021 – Brooklyn Nets at Dallas Mavericks

If the Dallas Mavericks are relegated to the play-in tournament they can lay the blame on one of the worst teams in the Western Conference. The Mavs enter their contest with the Brooklyn Nets having won seven of their last 10 games with the three defeats all coming at the hands of the Sacramento Kings.

NBA Betting May 4, 2021 – Toronto Raptors at Los Angeles Clippers

NBA Betting May 4, 2021 – Toronto Raptors at Los Angeles Clippers

The new play-in format has the Toronto Raptors in line to potentially compete for a spot in the postseason. That’s good news for a club that has plodded along for most of the campaign. While there are some who detest the play-in the Raps certainly aren’t one of them. They enter the week 2.5 games out of the 10th spot and continue a difficult stretch of games against Western Conference foes with Tuesday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers

NBA Betting May 3, 2021 – Denver Nuggets at Los Angeles Lakers

NBA Betting May 3, 2021 – Denver Nuggets at Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers are in a freefall that even their two best players have been unable to get them out of. We all thought they would return to their early season ways once Anthony Davis and LeBron James returned, but that hasn’t happened.
