New England area books will endure significant exposure Sunday as their beloved Patriots host the Vegas Raiders, a team that is 2-0 to start the season.
The Pats are a -6 favorite at most books after opening as high as -7. But after dropping to 5, the line was climbing once again. Heritage on Saturday night was the first to move the line to -6.5.
As much as 80% of the spread and 75% of the moneyline action is on the Patriots.
What To Do: New England area bookies should just hold at -6. A move to -6.5 at this point will likely result in more Raiders bets at that number. This presents a dangerous scenario should the Patriots win by 6 points.
We would note that Sagarin suggests the line should be no more than 3 here.
