Two people familiar with the negotiations confirmed to The Associated Press on Tuesday that Russell Wilson will be heading to the Denver Broncos from Seattle, and this has resulted in a seismic shift in the futures odds for both teams.

BetOnline released the following odds changes as of Tuesday evening:

33-1 to 12-1 to win Super Bowl

14-1 to 7-1 to win AFC

+450 to +175 to win AFC West

40-1 to 80-1 to win Super Bowl

20-1 to 35-1 to win AFC

4-1 to 8-1 to win NFC West

For comparison, only the Bills and Rams had shorter odds to win Super Bowl 57 than Denver.

Seattle's odds to win were only slightly better than the New York Giants.

Wilson is just 33 and likely heading to the Hall of Fame.

In the 2013 season, the Seahawks won their first Super Bowl behind an improving Wilson.

Denver is looking for some of that magic after winning the Super Bowl behind a retiring Peyton Manning in 2016.

The magic had ended in Seattle, perhaps prior to this past season.

In 2021 the Seahawks had their first losing season since Wilson was playing at Wisconsin. Seattle went 7-10. He would also suffer an injury to his finger and played inconsistently upon his return.

“I know for me personally, I hope it’s not my last game. But at the same time, I know it won’t be my last game in the NFL," Wilson said late last season. "I’m just focused on today and getting better today. That’s my goal. I love this city and I love this moment. I love these guys and we gotta make sure we get better today. That’s all that matters."

The trade also ends chatter about Aaron Rodgers landing in Denver.  The Broncos had been the favorite to sign Rodgers.
