Losing Record? (April 12, 2021)

The Yankees come into this series a disappointing 4-5.

Their payout odds haven't changed much.  They would still pay $550 for every $100 bet.

The early issues do point to starting pitcher Corey Kluber and Aaron Judge.

Judge was out for the Tampa Bay series with what has been described as “side soreness.”

Joe Giglio of NJ.com put it this way:

How many more starts from Kluber until the Yankees wonder if they made a mistake by allocating as much of this offseason’s budget as they did to a guy that basically hasn’t pitched in years? One more? Two more? That day can’t be far away. Kluber’s stuff isn’t alarmingly bad. His command is. It feels like the two-time Cy Young winner is still in spring training, except these games count. Add in an uninspiring beginning of the season for Domingo German, and any prediction or thought of this Yankees rotation being one of baseball’s best feels foolish right about now. Instead? It’s Gerrit Cole and some sort of 2021 version of praying for rain after that.

Yankees @ Blue Jays: April 12-14 (Note This Series Takes Place in Tampa at TD Ballpark)

  • Following six straight OVERS, the last four meetings have gone UNDER the total.  This includes the three games played at the start of this season.
  • Keep in mind the Yankees will not be traveling to play in this particular series as they concluded their series against the Rays in Tampa.

Rays @ Yankees: April 16-18

  • Tampa Bay has dominated this series of late, including the first series of 2021.  They are 15-5 versus the Yankees in the last 20 meetings.

Yankees @ Indians: April 22-25

  • The OVER was 7-1 coming into this series in the last eight meetings.
