Memorial Day weekend is almost upon us and while it is a weekend of celebration, it is also one filled with a tremendous amount of sports activity. Bettors will have plenty of events from which to choose.

Here’s a look at the best bets for this weekend.

Giants @ Dodgers (5/29)

San Francisco heads to Los Angeles to try and make up for its disaster of a first series against the Dodgers. The Giants lost three games - all at home - last week to L.A.

This Saturday, the Dodgers Julio Urias (7-1) will matchup again against the Giants Anthony DeSclafani (4-2). In the last meeting, the Dodgers roughed up DeSclafani for 10 earned runs in just 2.2 innings. Los Angeles would go on to win 11-5.

DeSclafani is a much better pitcher than he showed last time, but the Dodgers lineup is that good. The bad news for DeSclafani is that L.A. was without Corey Seager, Cody Bellinger, and A.J. Pollock in that last game. It’s unclear if any of the three will return for Saturday’s game, but if they do, look out.

L.A. is on a tear winning eight straight from May 17 through May 25. The offense has averaged over six runs per game. In Saturday’s game, expect a game total similar to the previous Urias-DeSclafani matchup.

With the total at 8 or possibly even 8.5, play the Over. The Dodgers are good for six runs and the Giants will play much better than last series.

Did you see our best bets for last weekend? We went 2-1, go check them out!

Indianapolis 500

Sunday marks the 105th running of the Indy 500. The current favorite is Scott Dixon who is listed at +350 at America’s Bookie. Dixon led last year’s race for 111 of the 200 laps but eventually lost to Simon Pagenaud. Dixon will start in the pole and has two top-3 finishes in his last three Indianapolis 500 races.

Dixon’s chief competition will come from Pato O’Ward (+1000), Tony Kanaan (+1600), and Rinus VeeKay (+1800). O’Ward was last year’s best rookie. Kanaan won in 2013 and has three top-10 finishes in his last five Indy starts.

VeeKay starts third which is where his fellow Dutchman Arie Luyendyk started when he won his first Indy 500. Interestingly, the last two times the GMR Grand Prix and Indy 500 have both been held in May, the winner of the GMR won the Indy 500. Guess who won the Grand Prix race this year?

Did you know that betting golf is the newest betting trend?

Clippers @ Mavericks (5/30)

The Los Angeles Clippers haven’t won a game since May 13 and they have lost their last five playoff games in a row. The Clips get a shot at redemption in Game 3 on Friday and then face Dallas again on Sunday in Game 4.

The Clippers are simply too good to go down without a fight. Look for Dallas to have a letdown in Game 3 and despite what happens there the Clippers will face a situation where they must win to avoid elimination or have a shot at tying the series.

The line for Game 3 puts the Clippers as a 1.5-point favorite even though they are down 2-0 and playing on the road. Expect something similar in Game 4 and play the Clippers to cover all the way to -3.5.

BEST BET:  CLIPPERS up to -3.5
