It’s beginning to look a lot like summer. Even though it’s not officially here yet, the sports schedule will soon be reflective of the fact that it is, indeed, summer.

The MLB schedule is full, but the NBA could be off for the weekend. The three remaining series would only play on the weekend if one of them gets to a final deciding Game 7.

Both NHL semifinals will play over the weekend and there is a UFC Fight Night scheduled for Saturday.

Here’s a look at your best bets for this weekend June 19-20. Before you see our best bets, click here to see last week’s!

MLB: Red Sox @ Royals

Boston travels to Kansas City for a three-game weekend series. On Sunday, Boston’s Nathan Eovaldi will face Royals right-hander Brad Keller.

Boston is one of the top offenses in the majors. The Red Sox are fifth in runs per game (4.99) and third in batting average (.255). They have made many premium MLB picks a winner.

Keller has been somewhat of a disaster. He is 6-6 on the season, but his ERA is 6.14. In his last two starts, he’s given up 11 earned runs on 16 hits.

Look for Boston to own Keller and chase him early. With Eovaldi holding down a mediocre Royals lineup, look for the Red Sox to cover on the run line.

BEST BET:  RED SOX -1.5 (down to -110)

NHL: Lightning @ Islanders

On Saturday, Tampa Bay heads will be in New York for Game 4 of their semifinal series with New York. The two teams will play on Thursday in Game 3 with the series tied 1-1.

If one thing is consistent about the Islanders, it’s defense. New York ranks second behind Vegas in goals against per game - 2.23. Goalie Semyon Varlamov was fourth in goals against (2.04) during the regular season and second in save percentage (.929).

In Game 1, the Islanders held the Lightning to a single goal in a 2-1 victory. New York did lose Game 2 4-2, but playing at home in Games 3 and 4 will revjunate the Islanders defense.

The total is likely to be set at 5, possibly 5.5, but expect a tough, defensive-focused game and for the total to go Under.

Earlier this week we wrote an article that talked about betting golf’s US Open at America’s Bookie.

BEST BET:  UNDER down to 5

UFC Fight Night

The main event at Saturday night’s UFC Fight Night is a featherweight duel between the Korean Zombie - Chae Sung Jung - and Dan Ige of the USA. Jung is the fourth-ranked featherweight contender in UFC. Ige is ranked No. 8 among contenders.

Jung lost his most recent fight despite being pegged as a -194 favorite. He had to spend time in the South Korean military which took him away from MMA for three years. He is just 3-2 since his return to the octagon.

Ige won his last fight with a first-round knockout of Gavin Tucker. In his last eight fights, Ige is 7-1.

It’s no surprise that the main event is a pick ‘em. Both Jung and Ige are given -110 odds to win on Saturday night. Jung is more of a brawler who is an effective boxer. Ige has a more well-rounded game as he is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and former NCAA Division III wrestler. The edge goes to Ige.
