We have your 2022 Week 3 College Football spreads for three great games, including Ole Miss vs. Georgia Tech, Toledo vs. Ohio State and SMU vs. Maryland.  Each will be televised.  Gambling911.com also will be monitoring the line movements and action on these games.

Ole Miss vs. Georgia Tech

The line on this game was mostly opening at Rebels -14.5 and had not moved much as of Sunday evening.

Sagarin had the Rebels with an 80.88 power rating.  Georgia Tech was coming in at 64.95.  With a home field advantage of 2.43, we get a number of 13.50. Mississippi opened with a 1-point overlay.

Ole Miss comes into this game having won its first two, but those were much larger spreads than what we have against the Yellow Jackets.  Against Troy in Week 1, the Rebels walked away with a 28-10 victory but failed to cover the -21 point spread.

Georgia Tech has the misfortune of playing a second ranked team in three weeks. Against Clemson in Week 1, the Yellow Jackets lost 41-10.

Overlay/Underlay/Action

-14.5 to -16.5 was the range across the board.  Sagarin gives us this number: 13.61.  That's a clear overlay of 1 to 3 points.

Last week's overlay of 1 to 3 points in a sampling of key College Football games had the favorite covering in both: Memphis and USC.

Five favorites covered with overlays of between 1 and 3.5 points in the NFL.

The Rebels were seeing better than 90% in this game.

Toledo vs. Ohio State

This intrastate rivalry features a lopsided line, as would be expected.  Bet365 and BetMGM opened at Buckeyes -31.5 but other books were at -30.5.

Toledo are no slouches though.  They will come into this one 2-0 following a 55-10 beatdown of UMass in Week 2.

Quarterback Gino Campiotti ran for 65 yards on 12 carries for UMass.

The Buckeyes are yet to cover the spread despite going 2-0 ahead of Week 3.

This is a relatively stable -32 to -31 point line movement.  Sagarin gives us a number of 24.92 for an overlay of between 7 and 8 points. Around 75% of the action was on the Buckeyes as a -32 point favorite.

SMU vs. Maryland

These are two 2-0 teams Straight Up.  Both are 1-1 Against The Spread.

The line opened at Terrapins -3 and had moved slightly by Sunday evening to -2.5.

Sagarin had the Terps with a power rating of 74.52.  SMU was given a rating of 72.69.  We get a number of 4.29 for Maryland. There was close to a 2 point underlay early.

Since 2017, as a home favorite Maryland has gone 12-3 Straight Up in nonconference games.

Over the past five years, Southern Methodist is 6-14 Straight Up as an underdog.

The Mustangs Tanner Mordecai threw three touchdown passes and SMU beat up Lamar in Week 2, 45-16.  Mordecai was 18-of-31 passing for 212 yards.

SMU was put to the test early though versus North Texas.  They earned a 48-10 victory in that one as a -9 road favorite.

Maryland has so far played Buffalo and Charlotte.

They beat the 49ers in Week 2, 56-21.

Taulia Tagovailoa threw for 391 yards and a career-high four touchdowns.

Tagovailoa connected on touchdown passes of 39 and 45 yards to Jacob Copeland and 14 and 16 yards to Jeshaun Jones in the first half.

The line has moved from Terps 2.5 to 3.5 and was back down to 2.5 at many books by Wednesday.  The Sagarin number was 4.22 for around a 1 to 2 overlay.  The dog won in 6 overlays within this range last week and the favorite won in two others.

Overlay/Underlay/Action

Maryland had a power rating of 74.45, SMU 72.65.  Tacking home field advantage (2.42) onto the Terps number, we get 4.22.

The line has moved from Maryland 2.5 to 3.5 and back to 2.5.  This gives us an underlay of around 1 to 2 points early.  Maryland was seeing between 72% and 74% of the action.
