Conference Underdogs

Both of the current spreads this weekend are 7.5 points, and if those numbers hold by kickoff it will mark the first time since the 2007 season where both Conference Championship underdog spreads were higher than a touchdown.

The last time both Conference Championship spreads were 7.5 points or more was January 20, 2008, when the Giants upset Green Bay as 7.5-point underdogs (23-20 OT, en route to a championship) and the Chargers lost to New England (21-12) as a 14-point dog. Both teams covered the spread.

Super Bowl LIV and MVP Odds

The Chiefs started the season with +800 odds, which was behind New England (+700) and tied with New Orleans.

San Francisco was a +2800, or 28/1, middle-of-the-pack darkhorse in the preseason odds while the Packers were +1600.

Only 10 teams had worse odds than the Titans to begin the year. Tennessee was listed at +5000, or 50/1, and after starting the season with two losses in the first three games, dropped to 80/1.

Super Bowl Odds
Kansas City Chiefs +125
San Francisco 49ers +165
Green Bay Packers +800
Tennessee Titans +800

Derrick Henry started the playoffs with 33/1 odds to be named Super Bowl LIV MVP.

Super Bowl LV

It's never too early to take a look at what your team's chances are to win next year's Super Bowl.

Early odds show the Chiefs as the favorite with Baltimore and San Francisco close behind.

If the numbers hold by Week 1 of the 2020 season, this would mark the first time in five years that New England wasn't the Super Bowl favorite or co-favorite.
