So far the month of May has been a banner period for the Gambling911.com website, which kicked off with its biggest day since coming online in September 2000. The Kentucky Derby resulted in just shy of 3 million hits and 1 million page views. Wednesday's American Idol finale have helped to make May 2009 the biggest traffic month ever for the website.

The most talked about horse this year wasn't any of the early favorites to win the Kentucky Derby or the longshot - Mine That Bird - that actually ended up winning, it was the filly named Rachel Alexandra, who easily won the Kentucky Oaks race.

As Gambling911.com previously reported, Sportsinteraction.com had offered 2009 Kentucky Derby winner, Mine That Bird, at significantly higher odds than that of Churchill Downs. In fact, at one point, the popular online gambling site offered odds as long as 100 to 1.

While Churchill Downs posted odds on Mine That Bird at 50-1, the folks at Sports Interaction listed the 2009 Kentucky Derby winner at a whopping 80-1 (+8000) which was later taken down to 35-1 by Saturday afternoon, obviously because there were a few bets being placed on this horse.
