It’s funny last year how Gambling911.com didn’t even bother offering a preview for the Arizona Cardinals, thinking nobody would notice. This year, the Cardinals 2009/2010 betting odds are being scrutinized nice and early following their shocking appearance in the 2009 Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl betting numbers are in and the results: A total of $81.5 million was wagered in the state's sports books on Super Bowl XLIII, an 11.5 percent decrease from the game's 2008 handle, according to figures released Tuesday by the Gaming Control Board. It was the lowest handle since 2004.

The official Super Bowl 2009 spread heading into game time was Pittsburgh Steelers -6 ½, though some online sportsbooks kept the line at -7. Most of the Vegas books were back to -7 by the start of game time as well. These odds were as of 2 hours heading into game time and some fluctuations were entirely possible.
