2010 Winter Olympics

betED.com is looking to capitalize on the Winter Olympics by offering betting odds on a number of events.

One of the favorite bets on any Olympic wagering menu is the country likely to win the most golds.

In the case of the 2010 Winter Olympics betting, it's all about Germany, paying $16 for every $10 bet at betED.com.

The host country, Canada, which has led an aggressive campaign called "Own the Podium" leading up to the Vancouver Games, is next at +250.

Perennial favorite the United States is at +350 (for a payout potential of $35 on every $10 bet), followed by Norway at +500 and Russia at +1200.

Germany is also favored to have the biggest overall medal haul at +110, followed by Canada at +225 and the U.S. at +400, in Country to Win the Most Medals Odds.

betED.com has odds available in every major event, including men's and women's hockey.

The Canadian Men's Hockey Team is a -125 favorite to pick up the country's first men's hockey gold since 2002 in Olympic Hockey.

Russia is next at +250, followed by Sweden at +600 and the United States at +800. Some longshots include Latvia, Belarus and Norway, all at +50000.

On the women's side, Canada is a -170 favorite to win gold, followed by the USA at +140 and Sweden at +1600.
