Tiger Woods Hosts AT&T National Tournament

Tiger Woods

You would expect that the No. 1-ranked pro golf player would be able to attract the world's best when he hosts a tournament.

That's what's happening on the PGA Tour this week as Tiger Woods welcomes 119 of the top golfers to the Blue Course at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland.

And betED.com has Golf Betting Odds for the $6 million AT&T National, which starts Thursday.

Among the pros on hand will be newly crowned U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover and defending AT&T National champion Anthony Kim, whose win was his second of what would be a breakout campaign.

As well, Paul Casey, three-time major-winner Vijay Singh, former U.S. Open champion Jim Furyk, Sean O'Hair, and former Masters champion Mike Weir are among the top 25 players who will join Woods in tackling Congressional this week.

Woods has picked up two tournament wins this year after returning from knee surgery, taking top spot at Bay Hill and the Memorial.

Casey won the Shell Houston Open while O'Hair won the Quail Hollow Championship.

Glover, the 29-year-old from Greenville, S.C., won his first major title and added his name to the 109-year-old U.S. Open trophy with an exciting victory last Monday on the rain-soaked Black Course at Bethpage State Park.

At the 2008 AT&T National, Kim posted four rounds in the 60s and finished at 12-under 268 to break by three shots the tournament scoring record set by K.J. Choi in the first year of the event in 2007.

Woods will be looking to improve on his sixth-place finish the last time he played the AT&T National in 2007.

Golf Channel will have three hours of coverage for the first two rounds beginning at 3 pm ET Thursday and Friday, and then CBS begins coverage at the same time both weekend days.
