As Gambling911.com suggested yesterday, heading into Saturday we would find the best value on Tiger Woods to win the 2009 US Masters Golf Tournament.  Whether he can pick up enough steam to go all the way by Sunday remained to be seen.

Whereas he was a near even favorite yesterday after opening around 2/1, Tiger Woods heading into Saturday was listed with nearly 4/1 odds or +375 for a payout potential of $375 on every $100 bet at Bookmaker.com.

Kenny Perry was the new favorite to win at +275 odds.  He and Chad Campbell (at +600 odds) were tied up atop the leader board.   Perry opened with +8000 odds to win the 2009 US Masters.  Assuming he can hold on, the payout would be an enormous $8000 for every $100 bet.  We're sure he probably had even longer odds elsewhere.

Let's now look at the updated 2009 US Masters payout odds heading into Saturday's play (Day 3):

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
