The official Super Bowl 2009 spread heading into game time was Pittsburgh Steelers -6 ½, though some online sportsbooks kept the line at -7.  Most of the Vegas books were back to -7 by the start of game time as well.  These odds were as of 2 hours heading into game time and some fluctuations were entirely possible.

betED.com and World Sports Exchange had not moved off the Arizona Cardinals +7 all weekend.  In Las Vegas, the Hard Rock Hotel sportsbook kept the line at Cardinals +7 as well, though they briefly offered the Steelers at -6 ½ during the overnight hours (probably after all those drunks from UFC 94 stumbled out with their winnings).

Likewise, the Mirage never moved their line as seen below:

Only once did betED.com move off the Cardinals +7 and that was right after the Super Bowl spread was posted.  They were one of the few online sportsbooks to briefly offer a line of Arizona +7 ½.   betED.com - a Gambling911.com sponsor - is paying back 50 percent of any first winning bet when you join today   Accounts should be open (set up) prior to the start of the Super Bowl.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
