SBG Global Opening Line: Sharks  -  140 ,  Total  5.5 Under - 120

There isn't much to find wrong with the San Jose Sharks this season considering they have the best record in the NHL but head coach Todd McLellan was not happy with Saturday's 5-3 win against the New York Islanders.   San Jose nearly blew a three-goal third period lead before Patrick Marleau scored an empty net goal. "It's unacceptable that we were up 4-1 with about 3 minutes left in the game and on the power play and we give them a short-handed goal," McLellan said. "We have a lot of learning to do as a hockey club, learning how to win. ... It's been creeping into our game a little bit. It's something we have to work on."
SBG Global reports that early Hockey betting has the public taking  Sharks on the Road.

The Sharks are unbeaten at home this season but they have been somewhat mortal on the road where they are 10-4-3.  They haven't had much success in Calgary lately either, going 2-7-1 in their last 10 trips.

The Flames have been red-hot of late, having gone 14-4-3 in their last 21 games to take over first place in the Northwest Division.  They had their five-game winning streak snapped on Sunday in a 5-2 loss at Chicago.

"Anytime you've been winning - and we've been moving along pretty well - a loss is hard to swallow," said Jarome Iginla.

Goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff has played in every home game for Calgary this season going 13-4-3 with a 2.74 goals-against average.  He leads the league in wins with 23 and has started 10 straight games.  He is 8-6-1 with a 2.98 GAA in 15 games versus San Jose.  His counterpart, Evgeni Nabokov has lost his last three starts against Calgary.

Here are the Hockey betting stats for Tuesday's game. The Sharks are 5-1 in their last 6 Tuesday games. The Sharks are 5-2 in their last 7 vs. the Northwest. The Sharks are 1-4 in their last 5 road games. The Sharks are 3-7 in the last 10 meetings in Calgary.

The Flames are 4-0 in their last 4 home games. The Flames are 5-1 in their last 6 overall. The home team is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings between the two teams.

SBG Global Current Line: Sharks  -  140 ,  Total  5.5 Under - 120

The Under is 5-1-1 in the Sharks last 7 road games. The Under is 4-1-1 in the Sharks last 6 overall. The Over is 4-1 in the Flames last 5 vs. the Pacific.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
