Minnesota Vikings

The Monday Night Football betting odds for the first of a double header has the Vikings vs. Packers at even action for the most part.

For anyone wanting to bet on the Vikings - Sportsbook.com had Minnesota at +2 ½ odds still heading into the 2 pm EST hour. They really hadn't moved the line down that much - only a half point. That's because the action there has been balanced.

Sportsbook.com is for recreational players, however. Some of the more "sharp" betting establishments have taken this one down to Green Bay -1 in an obvious effort to get more action on the Packers.

It would appear there is plenty of heavy early action from "sharps" on the Vikings and Gambling911.com can conclude there is a better than 65 percent chance that Minnesota will cover in this one.

Green Bay has won the last four in this series.

Pro Bowl defensive end Jared Allen was one of the Vikings best acquisitions during the offseason, making Minnesota the favorite to win the 2008 NFC North.

Allen, who was dealt from the Chiefs to the Vikings in April, was the biggest offseason addition for a Minnesota team that ranks as a popular pick to seize the NFC North.

BetED.com had Green Bay at -1 ½.
