Eagles

With the New York Giants losing against Dallas on Sunday night, this Monday Night Football game between the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles takes on even more meaning.

While the Browns have only won 4 games, two of those victories game on Monday night.

The Eagles are coming off impressive victories over a pair of NFC division leaders, including the Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants (last weekend).

Philadelphia is in contention along with Dallas and Atlanta for one of the wild-card spot.

"We've got three more games that we have to take care of business with," said Eagles Coach Andy Reid. "It's not a time to sit back and relax."

SBG Global reports that early NFL betting has the public taking Eagles at Home.

The Eagles are not expected to be challenged by a Cleveland team that is already looking for a new coach as Romeo Crennel is expected to be let go at the end of the season. "I can't be worried about that," Crennel said, "Rumors and stories, they're going to be out there. When you lose, that's what happens. Not only for me but for other people in the league."  The Browns have averaged only 7 points on offense the last three games and that total doesn't look to get any better against a tough Eagles defense.  Third string quarterback Ken Dorsey gets another start this week and he can't be much worse than he was a week ago in a 28-9 loss to Tennessee.

Philadelphia has looked like a different team since Brian Westbrook got healthy.  He had 22 carries for 110 yards two weeks ago and a career-high 33 times for 131 yards against the Giants last week. "We're in a position now where we have to win them all," Westbrook said. "We're going to take them one week at a time but we have to win them all to get into the playoffs."  The Cleveland run defense ranks 28th in the league so Westbrook could have another huge day.

Here are the NFL betting stats for Monday's game. The Browns are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog. The Browns are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Browns are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.

The Eagles are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Monday games. The Eagles are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a win.
