The Lions vs. 49ers betting odds had San Francisco as either a -4 or -4 ½ home favorite against this lowly Detroit team.

More than 70 percent of the early action was on San Francisco. More significantly in this game, 86 percent of the action was on the OVER 46.5 total scored.

San Francisco beat Detroit on the road two years ago a score of 19-13. The Lions were a -6 ½ favorite in that one. Neither team has improved much since that time.

It's interesting that Gambling911.com has this line at -4 as well so we believe it's right on the money. Hard to make a prediction here.

The 49ers shocked Seattle by beating them 33-30 on the road in overtime last week.

The Seahawks have a chance to redeem themselves this weekend facing an even more lowly St. Louis Rams team.

The action was relatively balanced with Seattle a -9 ½ favorite across the board. There were a few -9's and -10's scattered about. The line opened as high as -10 ½ at some online bookmakers.

Gambling911.com believes this line should be set at Seattle -8.

Seattle has won their last 6 games against St. Louis, though only once by more than 6 points.

The Seattle Seahawks are facing the possibility of an 0-3 start for the first time since 2002, but they say they are not worried as they prepare to host the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

Yes, they could drop well behind in the race for the NFC West division title if they lose.

But for now, they feel if they can get through Week 3 then get healthy during their bye the following week, they could almost be back to full strength.

"Some people who are 0-2 are panicking," quarterback Matt Hasselbeck said. "That is not us."

If they can get to Week 5 with a 1-2 record, the Seahawks are hoping to get back Bobby Engram and perhaps Deion Branch, tackle Sean Locklear and running back Maurice Morris

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
