New York Rangers -140, total 5

Rangers Advantage is King Henrik

The New York Rangers have the edge on Friday night because they have goaltender Henrik Lundqvist. He is 15-3 in elimination games since 2012 and he is 9-1 since the start of last year’s playoffs. Lundqvist made 36 saves in the win on Tuesday and he got a lot of help, particularly by Derrick Brassard who had a hat trick. "We capitalized early on our chances, and after that our goaltender was asked to make some big saves, which he did," Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said. "But in the third period, with our season on the line, we probably played our best period of this series so far. We wanted a chance and we got a chance." Brassard had five points in the game with three goals and two assists. "Every time we're in an elimination game, that's the way we play," Brassard said. "We're just going to go out there at home and try to play our best game."

Lightning Still Not Ready

The Tampa Bay Lightning made far too many mistakes in Game 6 to win a big series and they simply don’t look ready for the big stage. Captain Steven Stamkos hasn’t really taken over in big moments and even head coach John Cooper sounds like his team isn’t ready. “For our team, as a group, we’ve never been this far before, and so it’s just more lessons learned,” said Cooper, “Sometimes you have to go to the school of hard knocks to find out what works and what doesn’t.”
