The New York Jets are the leading candidate to land current Denver Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler according to Sportsbook.com.

The Jets, a +300 favorite to land the disgruntled QB, spent loads of cash on their defense this offseason but the need for a quarterback remains if they are to reach the playoffs in an improving AFC East division.

Rumors of Cutler landing in New York have swirled since it became apparent that the 25 year-old wasn't going to be able to mend fences with his current team. The Jets need for a quarterback to fill out what should be a contending team only seems to add to the argument.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are next in line at +350 odds and they could use a quarterback with Jeff Garcia no longer behind center.

At +500, the free-spending Washington Redskins may be a great value as a report out of the nation's capital claims they are among the leading candidates. Among the rumors coming out of D.C. is that Cutler's former coach Mike Shanahan, may be brought in to replace current coach Jim Zorn.

Cutler has a strong relationship with Shanahan and the Redskins are always up for a blockbuster deal.

The Detroit Lions could be waving their #1 overall pick at the Broncos. Although the Lions, +400 to land Cutler, weren't willing to part with the pick in February, speculation is they are willing to trade it now and Cutler would give the offense a proven quarterback that still has many years ahead of him.

Other teams in need of a quarterback, and with interest in Cutler include:

Chicago Bears +500

Cleveland Browns +500

San Francisco 49ers +600

Jacksonville Jaguars +800

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
