Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars betting odds

Jacksonville Jaguars
Sep 27 2008 - 11:41pm

The Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars betting odds opened at Jacksonville -7 across the board and that line has not moved all week long. Odds on this game were available at BetUS.com. Around 70 percent of the action was going the Jaguars way as could be expected.

Houston has won three of the last four games against the Jaguars. In this situation, with their backs against the walls looking to go 3-0, we would expect the Texans to lean more towards that past pattern. The Texans, however, are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following a straight up loss. They are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. AFC South and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 road games.

The Jaguars are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games. They are also 11-5 ATS in their last 16 vs. AFC.

And while Gambling911.com believes the line on this game should be Jacksonville -10 ½, Houston's solid record against the Jaguars for the most part has us sitting on the sidelines.

We think Jacksonville is a playoffs team still, and a playoffs team would certainly take advantage of the opportunity to beat a club like Houston at home decisively, but we do need some more convincing here.
