Georgia Bulldogs

The Georgia Bulldogs vs. LSU Tigers betting odds opened at LSU -3 ½ and the line had dropped to -2 at some online sports books including Bookmaker.com. Most online sports books had this one at -2 ½ heading into Tuesday but the line should drop further.

In this series, dating back to 1986, the home team has gone 8-2. The series was split over this period of time 5-5. The last four games were split also. But the home team advantage is certainly significant here.

Over the last four games in this series the home team has won by more than 7 points.

The Sagarin Ratings do have Georgia able to win by 2 points on the road here, which makes this one a little bit of a tougher call. Georgia also appears to have the edge in nearly every category. But LSU has played solid at home.

There are some significant trends that go against the Bulldogs. Georgia is 6-13 ATS in their last 19 games following a ATS loss and they are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games in October.

Yahoo Sports points out that Georgia hasn't lived up to its preseason hype. The Bulldogs aren't destroying inferior opponents.

"We're 6-1 overall, we're bowl eligible and we're 3-1 in the (SEC) East," Richt said. "Every goal we set is still in front of us. I would say we're in pretty good shape."

For the second straight week, Georgia dominated an opponent on the stat sheet but not on the scoreboard. Saturday's 24-14 win over Vanderbilt wasn't secure until the waning minutes.

"We still aren't capitalizing on all the opportunities we have," wideout Mohamed Massaquoi said. "We're almost there but we haven't arrived yet. We still have a lot of things that we need to work toward."

LSU will be an important test for Georgia. Based on past trends, the advantage goes to LSU and that is Gambling911.com's pick - LSU -2 at Bookmaker.com.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
