Danny Willett Masters 2016 Payout Odds to Win Were 12-1

Danny Willett had taken over the lead late Sunday with his odds of winning The Masters 2016 set at 12-1 coming into Thursday.  Jordan Spieth had led throughout all previous rounds and much of Sunday.

After Round One, Willett's odds were as long as 50-1.

Today the Field, which included Willett and everybody not named Jordan Spieth, was favored to win at -160 heading into Sunday’s play.  Though Spieth ultimately came back after a disastrous quadruple bogey on the 12th hole to finish 2nd, it was Willett who ultimately won the tournament.

Willett, a 28-year-old English golfer, had won on four occasions playing in the European Tour.  His best Major performance priot to Sunday was finishing 6th place in the 2015 Open Championship.
