While the proposed mega-fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. is apparently never going to come to fruition, BetUS boxing betting enthusiasts will at least get to see Pacquiao in the squared circle this weekend when he takes on veteran fighter Antonio Margarito at Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Saturday at 9:30 PM ET.

Boxing Odds

Antonio Margarito +350

Manny Pacquiao -500

Over 9.5 +110

Under 9.5 -140

While the boneheaded Mayweather continuously refuses to come to any terms whatsoever with Pacquiao’s camp, (I believe he’s scared), pugilistic gamblers everywhere look like they’ll have a ‘lock’ selection on their hands when Pacquiao squares off against Margarito – an BetUS vlogger Chris Strait explains just that in his informative BetUS BetFlix Boxing Video.

Strait says questions surrounding whether or not Pacquiao will enter this fight with ‘distractions’ because of his numerous out-of-ring ventures won’t even matter – not that he had to go out on a limb or anything with this betting prediction.

“This is a mismatch,” Strait said. “It will still be a mismatch. Margarito could be in great shape and he’d be a really cut-up looking body getting beat on when they stop the fight and maybe still bouncing when they stop the fight.”

Manny Pacquiao (51-3-2) has won a dozen consecutive fights dating back to 2005 and has beaten four of the best fighters of this era over his last four bouts.

Pacquiao beat Joshua Clottey in March after beating Miguel Angel Cotto, Ricky Hatton and Oscar de La Hoya.

Antonio Margarito (38-6-0) beat Roberto Garcia in his last fight to bounce back from a TKO loss he took from Sugar Shane Moseley in January of 2009. Ironically, it was in his loss to Moseley that Margarito was caught cheating by using ‘Plaster of Paris’ in his hand wraps.

“I think Pacquiao will win every minute of every round and by about the seventh round,” Strait went on to say in his video. “Margarito’s corner will realize the futility and pull him out. It’ll look kind of like the (Oscar) De La Hoya fight. Pacquiao is a winner by TKO over a much bigger, slower and shop-worn fighter in Margarito.”

I am going on record to agree with Strait in my own prediction surrounding this fight. There is no way Manny Pacquiao loses this fight as he and his camp will undoubtedly make one final attempt in 2011 to face Floyd Mayweather in the only fight that boxing fans really want to see.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
