2014 Kentucky Derby Betting Odds to Win: Samraat, Uncle Sigh, We Miss Artie

2014 Kentucky Derby betting odds to win for Uncle Sigh, We Miss Artie and Samraat were available at Bookmaker here.

Uncle Sigh was a long shot at 30-1 odds.  He was a late entry thanks to a handful of defections.  He finished 2nd to Samraat at the Gotham and Withers but failed miserably at the Wood.  Probably the biggest concern as it relates to Uncle Sigh is his ability to run the distance of the Kentucky Derby.

We Miss Artie had odds of 50-1, making him an even bigger long shot than Uncle Sigh.  Our biggest concern here is that We Miss Artie prefers the synthetic surface over dirt.  He'll be ridden by Eclipse Award-winning jockey Javier Castellano, which gives him some degree of value at these long odds.

Samraat has the shortest odds of these three entries at 15-1.  He won the Withers and Gotham.  While not winning the Wood, Samraat showed grit and determination.

There are the distance concerns with Samraat as well as questions about speed as he has not earned a triple-digit Speed rating of yet.
