Chicago Bears vs. Pittsburgh Steelers NFL Betting Pick

The Chicago Bears will face a struggling Pittsburgh Steelers team that is not getting any sort of respect on the field. They are not the same team that was laying down the hits, and scoring big wins, even though it’s still early on. Meanwhile the Bears are definitely pushing the envelope, doing some good things on both sides of the football, which is going to make this one a defensive game worth noting.

Current line: Pittsburgh +2 ½ / Over & Under at 40

Time:  Sunday, September 22, 8:30 pm (EST) NBC

When you start to analyze this game, you will realize that the Steelers may have one of the worst running games in the league. They are not gaining any favors, and are underdogs at home. This is not a good sign, but there is still some spark left in Mike Tomlin’s squad, and that’s what is intriguing about the game. The Chicago Bears are hard hitting on defense, have solid offensive options, but this could be a test of their greatness.

Even though the Bears are 2 – 0 right now, they have had serious battles with the Bengals and the Vikings and the “W” on each one is mired with some issues. Yes, they won, but at what cost? They are not an excellent team by any stretch, but a win is a win right? The Steelers will have to take advantage of the errors that the Chicago team is prone to making, especially on offense. Turnovers, penalties, and lackluster yardage will definitely hurt the overall game, but in favor of the Pittsburgh team. This game will be a tough one for the Steelers, but not one that they can’t win.

The Match Up:

There’s not a whole lot to be said about the Steelers offense, and in theory the Bears have a better defense. One can only assume that they will have an easy time against Pittsburgh, but there’s that one catch, they just may get a shock. The Steelers are great at home, and with a home town crowd, there is just a little magic in the air, enough to get them just over the hump and win one out. A loss here would be devastating, which is why we’re going with the underdogs. There is just something that is pointing towards upset on this one, and while it’s small, it may be “Big Ben’s” second coming. There is a sense of anemia in the offense, but you’ll definitely find it to be interesting overall. We’re going to give Pittsburgh +2 ½ on this one.

The Edge:

Our pick is Pittsburgh +2 ½.

SportsCashSystem.com Prediction: Pittsburgh +2 ½.
