Seattle opened as a -3.5 road favorite coming into this game but that number has since moved up to -5.5 as books desperately try to get more action on Carolina.  With nearly 75% of the betting action on Seattle, this certainly does make sense.

The reigning Super Bowl champion Seahawks are a surprising and disappointing 3-3 Straight Up coming into this game while Carolina has also underperformed following last year’s stellar season.  The Panthers are 3-3-1 Straight Up on the season.

The Seahawks have beaten Carolina the last two seasons, both games on the road.  Neither win was by more than the current -5.5 spread.

The Seahawks are 12-3-1 Against The Spread in their last 16 games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in their previous game and are 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games after accumulating more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game. Seattle is also 12-4 ATS in their last 16 road games.

The Panthers are 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 home games and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 vs. NFC.  They are also 11-5-1 ATS in their last 17 games following a ATS loss.
