One time Presidential hopeful Ron Paul will be talking to Neil Cavuto on Fox News today (Wednesday) at 4 pm EST. Paul, a long time Republican Congressman from Texas, will be discussing his own convention in Minneapolis and what he hopes to accomplish.

"Freedom brings people together," Paul said before a sold-out crowd at Tuesday's Rally for the Republic.

Paul, who said he entered the presidential race reluctantly, told the roaring audience, "I lost my skepticism. I hope you lost your apathy."

As the congressman stepped on stage, red, white and blue confetti fell from the ceiling during a two-minute standing ovation.

Paul said he entered the presidential race not because of what he wanted to do but because of what he did not want to do.

"I did not want to run people's lives. I did not want to run the economy and I did not want to run the world. I didn't have the authority to do it, and I didn't have the Constitution behind me to do it," said Paul, who has served in the House of Representatives for more than 30 years.

The campaign sold 10,320 tickets to the rally, priced at $17.76, and it gave away about another 1,000 at the door. The event took place at the Target Center in Minneapolis, the same arena that will host Rage Against the Machine on Wednesday.

The rally marked the official start of Paul's political action group, the Campaign for Liberty.

Paul's appearance on Fox News will be significant in that many of his supporters accused the network of ignoring its candidate, in particular during the Nevada Primary when Ron Paul came out a strong second ahead of John McCain.

Fox News will also broadcast an interview between Barack Obama and its highly rated host of the O'Reilly Factor, Bill O'Reilly, Thursday at 8 pm EST.

Winning over Ron Paul is on the top of John McCain's "to do list" according to The Washington Post.

The McCain campaign, acting through the Republican National Committee, has been negotiating with Rep. Ron Paul to win his support and acquire the names of his sympathizers among the 4,607 delegates and alternates at the Republican National Convention, according to a senior aide to the Texas congressman.

Ron Paul is a leading advocate for the freedom of the Internet and wants online gambling legalized in the United States by abolishing the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act, which essentially looks to hold banking institutions responsible for allowing transactions related to certain gambling activity on the Net. The banks argue that the UIGEA fails to discriminate between the so-called "good" online gambling transactions and "bad one's". Presumably, the "good" one's are horse racing.
