Child porn sites were accessed by at least one New South Wales Parliament staffer while a Reverend in the parliament was specifically named for accesing gambling website, according to reports that began surfacing Thursday. An audit by Ernst & Young identified nine websites containing ''sexually explicit images of young people''.  Several websites were accessed using the term “teenie”.

It was not immediately clear as to whom accessed the offending websites: ministers, MPs, their staff or non-political employees.  Images determined to be of children under the age of 16 would fall under the state Crimes Act.

In all, some 35 websites featuring adult content, both heterosexual and gay, were accessed.  The report also indicated that, of the 72 most popular sites accessed on parliamentary computers over a 10-month period, 35 "appear to be adult-related sites".

The Parliament's internet filtering application, ContentKeeper, classified email clients, sports, news, fashion and food sites as “porn” or “adult content”.

More specific findings concluded that Democratic Party MP and Reverend Fred Nile had recorded an unusually high level of activity or ''hits'' on adult or gambling websites, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
